Save Urgent Care At Shotley Bridge Hospital

Local Lib Dem campaigners Terry Rooney, Dominic Haney, and Kathryn Rooney are leading the campaign against the closure of urgent care at Shotley Bridge Hospital after bosses announced plans to close the out of hours service.

Local resident Terry Rooney said, “This will mean anyone calling 111 will no longer be able to go to the hospital between midnight and 8am to see a doctor or nurse.

“This is yet another cut in services and is another nail in the coffin for our NHS locally. I’m astonished we are facing even more cuts in our local NHS under a Labour government,” Terry added.

“Bosses have said the move may be temporary but whenever this has been said before, services never return. This is our only chance to stop this,” he concluded.
