Save Durham Pride
We are campaigning to Save Durham Pride from the Reform Party's threats to undermine diversity and equality in County Durham.
The Reform Party have won a majority of councillors on Durham County Council. Their party leader has vowed to cut back on all of the council's support for equalities, throwing the future viability of Durham Pride into doubt.
Durham Pride is an independent, non-party charity that has played a crucial role in showing that LGBTQI+ people are loved, accepted, and respected across all of County Durham. The Durham Pride Festival each year is possible thanks to indirect support from the council - in allowing the use of public spaces - and also with a small amount of funding to support an event that brings people into Durham to spend money and support local businesses.
Sign our petition to help save Durham Pride for 2026 and beyond.

Save Durham Pride
Hoping to profit from the politics of division, fear, and hate, the Reform Party running Durham County Council has threatened to cut all support for equality and inclusion. We, the undersigned, wish to see Durham County Council continue to support Durham Pride and the LGBT+ community,
