Zero Carbon Durham 2030

Durham Liberal Democrats are pushing for our County Council to be net zero by 2030. Durham's Labour party have said we should put off local action against climate change until 2040 -- when urgent action is needed NOW.

With solar panels fitted to Freeman's Quay leisure centre, the Gala Theatre, and public buildings across the county, Lib Dem councillors are leading the way in ensuring the council is not contributing to global emissions. Saving on council energy bills means that council tax-payers will see better value for their money in the future.

Please sign our Net Zero 2030 petition for Durham County Councillors to all back the 2030 goal and support Lib Dem leadership on climate change.
