Save the Priestman Avenue school crossing patrol

Durham County Council is moving towards removing the school crossing patrol on Priestman Avenue – and this could happen unless our community speaks out.

This is a vital safety measure used by children from The Grove Primary School, St Pius X, and nearby schools. Without strong local opposition, the crossing patrol could be gone as within weeks.

Please sign the petition today to show that our community does not support this.

Priestman Avenue carries busy traffic at school times. Children rely on the lollipop person to cross safely. Removing the patrol puts our children at risk of harm.
