Anne-Marie Curry

For A Fair Deal for Newton Aycliffe & Spennymoor

Anne-Marie Curry is the Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate for the new constituency of Newton Aycliffe & Spennymoor. The constituency includes the surrounding towns and villages, and Anne-Marie knows the area well as she has worked across the area and lived in Ferryhill.

Anne-Marie has served as a local councillor in Darlington for more than 15 years and during this time has campaigned to improve policing across County Durham. She is challenging the Conservative Government and the Labour Police Commissioner by championing the Lib Dem Burglary Response Guarantee: You can sign our petition for our police officers to respond to every burglary, given that 45,323 burgarlies went without any response last year alone.

With families across our area struggling to get NHS appointments, Anne-Marie is campaigning on the Liberal Democrat plan for everyone to see their GP within a week, or in 24 hours for urgent needs.

Ann-Marie Curry for Newton Aycliffe & Spennymoor

From her own family experience as a carer and from her public service in improving adult social care, Anne-Marie is passionate about getting a better deal for carers and valuing the work they do. She is standing up for carers by inviting people to sign the Lib Dem petition to increase the Carer's Allowance for unpaid carers.

For a safer, caring, and healthy community in Newton Aycliffe & Spennymoor, please vote Anne-Marie Curry on 4 July.
