Sign the petition to tackle illegal off-road bikes

Lib Dem councillor Dominic Haney is leading the campaign to tackle illegal off-road bikes in Consett, Moorside, and the Grove.

Police have recently placed signs around the area that make it easier for them to seize bikes being used illegally. However, the issue with nuisance bikes persists.

Dominic says: “Illegal use of these bikes in our area is not just a nuisance but a danger. I want to see more bikes seized and these maniac riders brought to justice. Criminals need to know that they will face serious consequences if they are breaking the law."

“As well as this, I would like to see more done by the Council to make it harder for bikers to access fields and other areas where they are flying around, causing a nuisance and damaging property."
