Lib Dem MP visits Durham

Shadow Secretary for Work and Pensions, Danny Alexander MP visited Sherburn Village today and met with local residents along with local Lib Dem campaigner Carol Woods.
Carol took Mr Alexander to the Community Hall in Atlee Square, for which the local Lib Dem Council has secured vital funding.
Carol Woods said, "It was great of Danny Alexander to come to Sherburn Village and take an interest in the work we are doing here. We had a cup of tea with local residents and discussed the issues that really matter to people."
Danny Alexander MP said, "It is clear for all to see the work that the Lib Dems have done in Sherburn. Carol Woods and Maureen Wood are real leaders in the local community and I appreciated the opportunity hear the concerns of residents. People are understandably worried about rising energy prices and a Government that has misgandled pensions. I will take these concerns back with me to Parliament." |
