Carol Woods - Shadforth and Sherburn

Carol grew up and went to school in Durham. Her father worked for the University and Carol now runs her own business in the city.

Carol Woods is well-known to Durham residents as the Lib Dem's prospective Parliamentary candidate. She has previously fought the City of Durham constituency in the 2001 General Election - pushing the Tories into a poor third place - and the 2005 General Election where she made huge gains against the Labour party.

Carol has already been selected as the Lib Dem candiate for Durham in the next General Election.

Following the May 2007 local elections, Carol was selected as Deputy Leader of Durham City Council.

Carol lives in Sherburn where she is a member of the parish council and enjoys walking her dogs Sweep and Tom.
